Will gum recontouring make my cheeks look slimer and bring out my cheeks bones?

I'm considering getting surgery on the gumline of my "gummy smile" to make my teeth appear longer. But I was wondering, will it make my cheeks look slimer once the gum line is pushed back on my back teeth?
