10 weeks and spotting! Please help!?

I will be 10 weeks tomorrow. I've had 2 previous ultrasounds with detection of a heartbeat (6 weeks and 8 weeks). This morning I woke up with some brown spotting. It hasn't gotten any worse, but hasn't stopped. Is this common or should I be worried. I made an appt for later today.
