Why is Gordon supporting the plan to give attorney general veto on war crimes warrants?

You can't go around arresting Israelis for war crimes, it isn't the done thing. Maybe arrest a Hamas member for the deaths of 13 Israelis in that confict, but surely the murder of 1600 Palestinians was a proportionate response.
