Can a man still reproduce after a vasectomy?

My brother had a vasectomy last year after his second child. His wife is now almost three months pregnant. He has doubts that the child might not be his. Has anyone ever had a first hand experience where they knew a person who this happened to? How likely is it that this is his child she is carring???
