Why are people complaining about Obama bowing to the japanese emporer ?

The President is trying to win back some of the respect from the rest of the world that was lost during the Bush administration. He is doing exactly the right thing by visiting so many countries and letting the leaders of those countries see that an intelligent man has taken over the Oval Office. They are responding very well and, we are gradually getting back some of the pride we had before Bush!
