Do i need to stop feeding to get pregnant again?

my 13 month old is still feeding. my doctor today said that i might want to stop feeding since my husband and I are going to try for baby #2 starting in January!!!! She said that because since i'm feeding, I might not be ovulating at all. I told her that I've been having periods since my baby was 8 months old and I've been charting my temperature and cervical mucus for 5 months and I always have the temperature drop and raise midway in my cycle and I always get the egg white cervical mucus. My cycles have been normal, 28 days and I actually feel when I ovulate for a few hours. So is my body just doing all that without me actually ovulating or could I be ovulating? I'd hate to stop feeding just so I will ovulate for sure, I would like to stop but I don't want to have to right now, maybe after we get pregnant would be easier for our son if it changes taste and not as much is made.
