I have a mac & I really wanted to get the sims 2...?

Besides buying the Sims 2, what other expansion packs are worth getting (in your opinion). Also, do I need, or should I get the The Sims Complete Collection? I saw it on Amazon and wondered if I should get that as well before I get the Sims 2, or will that just be completely unnecessary? It has Livin' Large, House Party, Vacation, & Hot Date. I know that they are the older ones, so do you think I should get it in addition to Sims 2? Does Sims 2 have those? I need help! Your opinions and recommendations are greatly appreciated.
